Thì Tương Lai Tiếp Diễn (Future Continuous)

1. Công thức

• Khẳng định: S + will be + V-ing
• Phủ định: S + will not be + V-ing
• Nghi vấn: Will + S + be + V-ing?

2. Cách dùng chính

1. Hành động đang diễn ra tại một mốc tương lai.
2. Hỏi lịch sự về kế hoạch và tình trạng rảnh/bận.

3. Dấu hiệu nhận biết

• this time tomorrow, at 10 a.m. next Monday, in the afternoon tomorrow

4. Phân biệt Future Simple vs Future Continuous

💡 Cách nhớ: Future Continuous = “Lúc đó đang làm gì?”. Có mốc thời gian cụ thể + đang diễn ra → Future Continuous.

5. Lưu ý TOEIC

• Rất hợp trong email sắp lịch họp và cập nhật tiến độ.
• Đề thi thường đặt câu hỏi về thời điểm cụ thể trong tương lai.
• Dùng để hỏi lịch sự: “Will you be using the room?” (nhẹ nhàng hơn “Will you use…“)

6. Lỗi thường gặp

1. Dùng Future Continuous cho hành động hoàn tất một lần.
   • ❌ At 5 p.m., I will be finishing the report. (nếu ý là “sẽ xong”)
   • ✅ By 5 p.m., I will have finished the report. (Future Perfect)
2. Nhầm với Future Simple khi không có mốc “đang diễn ra tại thời điểm đó”.
3. Quên cấu trúc will be + V-ing (thiếu “be”).
   • ❌ I will working at that time.
   • ✅ I will be working at that time.

Đáp án

1. C – “This time tomorrow” → mốc tương lai cụ thể + đang diễn ra → will be launching.
2. B – “At 3 p.m. on Friday” → mốc cụ thể + hỏi lịch sự → Will be attending.
3. C – “at 8 p.m.” → đang diễn ra tại mốc tương lai → will be having.
4. C – “all day tomorrow” → kéo dài suốt ngày → will be upgrading.
5. B – “this time next Monday” → mốc cụ thể → Will be processing.

9. Mẹo làm bài

• Thấy this time tomorrow/at + giờ cụ thể trong tương lai → nghĩ Future Continuous.
• Nếu câu cần lịch sự khi hỏi kế hoạch người khác, Future Continuous rất tự nhiên.
• Luôn nhớ cấu trúc: will + be + V-ing (không bỏ “be”!).
